Big Impact in a Small Town Episode Summary:

Today’s guest is Aubrey Mathis, newly published author of the book “Confessions of a Small-Town Florist” and founder of the new non-profit organization Save The Teacher, which exists to bridge funding gaps for rural, small-town teachers and school districts.

About Aubrey Mathis

Aubrey Mathis is a passionate writer, mother, wife, businesswoman, and spokesperson for her community outside of Waco, Texas—she does not claim to be from Waco, even if it does sound cooler.

Married to a real-life rodeo cowboy, she describes her marriage as John Wayne and Audrey Hepburn falling in love and doing life together—plus they’re raising little cowgirls with guts, grit, and grace.

Aubrey enjoys writing about small-town life, love, and scandal and recently published her first book titled “Confessions of a Small-Town Florist.”

When she is not writing, she is the founder of a non-profit called Save the Teacher whose mission is to help teachers in rural, small-town school districts overcome funding gaps.
