Boundaries get crossed, feelings get hurt, and it can be common to feel as though you’re constantly “in the shadow” of your parents when there is very little physical separation between you.
Open communication, setting clear expectations and brutal honesty are a few of the things that can help even when there are significant personality and generational differences.
