3 Questions to Answer Before Quitting Your Job

You’re sitting in a meeting.

As your co-worker drones on about budgets, strategic plans, and who to thank for supplying the break room with doughnuts that morning, you aren’t even hearing him.

You are in a world of your own.

You are dreaming, scheming and planning.

You cannot stop thinking about your big idea.

This idea, this dream, follows you everywhere you go.

In your car on your hellish commute.

While you frantically race your kids off to their locations in the morning so you’re not late for your next boring meeting.

In your bed when you’re trying to fall asleep.

The idea is always with you.

So you start to contemplate what it would be like to chase it. To pursue it. To crush it.

But then, you’re brought back to reality.

You can’t just leave.

You have responsibilities. Demands. Bills to pay, for heaven’s sake.

If that’s where you are, watch the video below.

So again to recap, the three questions to ask yourself before you quit your job and chase your dream are:

  1. What is the worst that can happen?

  2. How can I serve more people using my specific stroke of genius?

  3. Which option provides a better example to the people that love me and watch me?

If you're in the thick of it, I want to hear from you. It's not easy. It won't ever be easy. But you only get one shot.Don't miss an opportunity to follow a dream because you were too scared to fail or worse yet, too scared to even try.
